Privacy Policy

Effective Date: September 29, 2026

Welcome to VEQO ("we", "our", or "Service"). We deeply respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data when using our web application and related services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect various types of information to operate and improve the Service:

  • Account Data: Name, email address, profile identifiers when authenticating via third-party services (Google, Apple, Telegram).
  • Physiological & Biometric Data: Age, gender, height, weight, weight goals (lose, maintain, gain). This information is necessary to calculate your daily caloric and macronutrient norms.
  • User Content: Food photos, voice recordings, text descriptions of meals, and nutrition history that you upload to the Service.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device data, error logs, and Service usage statistics.
  • Health data from your phone (only with your permission): steps, sleep, active calories, weight and body fat from Apple Health (iOS) or Health Connect (Android).
  • Payment data (coaches and partners only): payout card or wallet number and PINFL — a personal identification number, for tax reporting.

Health data in detail. The VEQO mobile app can read five data types from your phone's health aggregator — Apple Health on iPhone and Health Connect on Android. This happens only after you tap “Connect” yourself and grant permission in the system dialog; you can revoke it at any time in your phone or health aggregator settings. We use this data as follows: steps — to show your daily activity and refine your daily calorie goal; sleep — to show how long you slept next to your nutrition; active calories — to complete your “eaten versus burned” balance and raise your target on active days; weight — so that a measurement already recorded by your smart scale, your watch, or by hand in the health app appears automatically in your weight diary inside VEQO and does not have to be entered twice; body fat — to show it on the “Progress” screen next to your weight and lean body mass, if your smart scale or another health app measures it. Access is read-only: VEQO never writes anything back to Apple Health or Health Connect and reads no other health data (heart rate, blood pressure, glucose, etc.). The health-aggregator data listed above is never used for advertising and is never shared with third parties for marketing purposes; it is not sent to the AI providers that recognise food. A weight entry that came into your diary from the health aggregator can only be deleted in the app it came from. We store body fat next to the weight entry, but it stays a mirror of your phone: if the value disappears from the health aggregator, we remove it on our side too.

Payment data in detail. We ask for a payout card or wallet number and a PINFL only from coaches and partners who take part in monetary payouts (referral rewards and service income) — we never collect this from regular users. A coach who works without self-employed status gives the PINFL in advance — while setting up their coach account, before the first payout: we withhold and pay the tax on their income, and a payout can't go through without the number. We keep that PINFL after account deletion too, even if no payout has happened yet — consent for this is given with a separate checkbox on the same screen where the number is entered. We need the PINFL because when we pay out, we act as the tax agent: we must withhold the tax and report to the state exactly who we paid and how much. We share the payout details and PINFL with our payment partner (Multicard) — to verify the card belongs to that person and to send the payout itself; a regular subscription purchase through the App Store or Google Play checkout never involves this data and it never reaches us. We keep this data after account deletion too: payout records and the PINFL they relate to — for as long as tax law requires, and a PINFL with no payouts — until you ask us to delete it through support. The card or wallet number you'd use for future payouts is deleted along with everything else when you delete your account — what's already part of a completed payout, including its card-check result, stays as part of that record. Your PINFL is visible only to you and a limited set of administrators. It's shown in full only to you, on the screen where you enter or change it; everywhere else it's masked, and it's never written to system logs.

2. How We Use Your Data

The collected information is used for the following purposes:

  • Providing core functionality: calculating macros and calories, maintaining a food diary.
  • Analyzing uploaded content (photo, voice, text) using Artificial Intelligence to recognize food and estimate nutritional value.
  • Personalizing the user experience and improving recognition algorithms based on your preferences (e.g., preferred cuisine).
  • Ensuring account security and providing technical support.

3. Data Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. However, to operate the Service, we may share some data with trusted partners:

  • AI Providers (Google Gemini, Alibaba Qwen, etc.): Your food photos, voice recordings, and text queries are transmitted via secure API channels for food recognition. We strive to send this data in an anonymized format, decoupled from your identity.
  • Infrastructure Providers (Supabase): Used for secure storage of your account data and the application database.
  • Payment Partner (Multicard): for coaches and partners taking part in monetary payouts — card/wallet number and PINFL, to verify the card belongs to that person and to send the payout.
  • Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government request.

4. Data Security

We implement modern technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including end-to-end encryption during transit (TLS 1.3) and encryption at rest (AES-256). Authorization via OAuth 2.0 (Google, Apple, Telegram) means we never receive or store your passwords.

5. Your Rights

In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Personal Data" (No. ZRU-547 of July 2, 2019) you have the following rights (users in other jurisdictions may additionally rely on the rules applicable there, such as GDPR or CCPA):

  • The right to access your personal data.
  • The right to rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • The right to withdraw consent for data processing.
  • The right to export data in a machine-readable format.

6. Data Deletion

You have the "Right to be Forgotten". You may delete your account and all associated food history at any time through the in-app settings. Upon account deletion, all your personal and physiological data is permanently erased from our active databases. After deletion, we may retain anonymized, aggregated statistics that cannot be linked to you (for example, counts by tariff and period) for analytics purposes.

If you cannot sign in, you can delete your account on the page veqo.app/delete-account.

7. Changes to the Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy periodically. In the event of material changes, we will notify you through the application interface.
